H&M Home's Autumn 2023 Collection Has Landed & You're Going to Want Everything

Publish date: 2024-04-23

H&M Home's Autumn Collection has landed, people: a celebration of curves, captivating warm colours and pretty pattern mixes. And – if you're anything like us – you're going to want everything.

Oozing opulence, the collection is perfectly timed. It comes as we edge out of summer (if summer even existed) and into cosy season. A time when a crisp new bedding set, an elevation of your soft furnishings collection and an injection of maximalism feels necessary to get us in the mood.

As with H&M Home collections of the past, the Autumn Collection features pieces for the entire home, not just your sleeping quarters. Living room, bathroom and dining space included. Quality and aspiration are at the forefront (though the accessible price-point hardly follows suit), with modern charm and an international feel being two of the most prominent buzzwords on the H&M HOME Design team's mood-board.

“The collection draws inspiration from a harmonious blend of modern aesthetics and controlled eclecticism,” the team told us. “Warm ochre and dandelion yellows are combined with muted floral tones, creating a balance between boldness and subtlety. The fusion of ornamental tapestry-inspired graphics and contemporary geometrics adds a dynamic touch. Textiles with velvet-like luster, and burnout jacquards bring a luxurious ambiance. Flowy edges and contrast fringes add layers of generosity and expression.”

Dress your living room in warm fall hues with taupe block-coloured and burgundy hexagon-patterned cushion covers, and since candle holders are a key detail this season, adorn your coffee table with a gold, ornamental candlestick holder. There are also two variations of sculptural candle holders in black and brown, as well as a round-style glass version with gold details – all of which are expected to be the most popular with shoppers.

“Sculptural pieces such as our bold candle holders or beautiful ceramics in seasonal colours will be that best statement yet timeless addition to your homes,” the Design Team said.

Vases are always the perfect finish to your elegant tablescape, sideboard or coffee table – and the tall white, ceramic ribbed style or the short glass variation pictured above would go a long way in lifting your vibe.

On the note of tablescaping (autumn is the time to have your dining room packed full of friends, after all), H&M Home's Fall Collection allows you to indulge in the joy of entertaining in a way you never have before. The collection features an array of kitsch patterned plates in different sizes (the pink zebra plate gets our vote), serving platters, striped candy cane-inspired mugs and floral or block-coloured tablecloths – all of which effortlessly blend sophistication with functionality.

Whether you’re hosting a grand feast or enjoying a cosy meal, the Scandi brand's meticulously designed pieces bring a touch of elegance to every dinnertime.

Elsewhere, the new Fall Collection naturally reigns supreme in the bedroom, where an international flair meets eclectic design.

You can shop a range of lovely duvet covers (there's a gorgeous pink gingham set which will inject welcome femininity into a usually-minimalist space), as well as plush and textured rugs to lay aside your bed frame for a soft entrance into the day. Each one – from the white wool to the brown tufted cotton and bold geometric rug – is beautifully crafted to create a harmonious balance between comfort and aesthetics. So. Good.

“At H&M HOME we consistently strive to offer contemporary, personalized collections for diverse styles,” the Design Team concluded.

“This fall, we're infusing an eclectic international vibe with boldness and a luxurious feel. Elevate everyday life with a mix of patterns, textures & shapes. With warm tones, florals, and captivating graphics inspired by tapestries and geometrics, we wanted to redefine timeless design elements. Our vision was to bring together a sense of modernity and luxurious pieces. This collection embodies our commitment to modern, aspirational design with a strong design language.” Brief? Completed.

Of course, this is not the first time H&M Home has cemented their interior design credentials. The brand have spotlighted talents including India Mahdavi and Diane Von Fürstenberg in collections' past, and in 2021, H&M Home introduced its “For the Love of Art” project for the first time.

Set in motion to give female creatives a platform, we were recently treated to volume two – which featured everything from fringed throw blankets to graffiti-print posters.

The new H&M HOME Autumn Collection launches in stores and online on hm.com/home on 24 August 2023.
