Karate teacher arrested after allegedly sending nude photos to 11-year-old student

A Florida karate instructor is behind bars after she allegedly told an 11-year-old student she wanted to have sex with him and sent him more than a dozen nude photos. 

Stephannie Figueroa, 21, has been charged with child abuse, attempted lewd or lascivious conduct, solicitation and contributing to the delinquency of a minor and showing a minor obscene material. 

Figueroa was arrested after the young boy's mother opened the messaging app Kik on his phone and found inappropriate messages from the teacher, police said.

The boy then told her Figueroa had been sending him nude photos and pictures of her 'private parts' and had been flirting with him, according to the Orlando Sentinel. 

He told police that Figueroa told the boy she liked him a number of times, and began making advances on him in February. 

In one message she told the boy she 'could not wait for another sleepover at the karate school' when she 'could have sex with him in a hard way', a police report states. 

The owner of Next-Gen Xtreme Martial Arts, where Figueroa worked in Orlando, admitted there had been sleepovers at the school but said he had never seen inappropriate contact between the two. 

The boy told police that Figueroa had slid her hand on his thigh during the sleepover but stopped when he asked her to, according to the report.

Figueroa is currently being held without bond in the Orange County Jail.
