Seize Them! Is The New Female-Led Medieval Comedy Starring Aimee Lou Wood And Nicola Coughlan| Glam

Seize Them! is the hugely anticipated new British comedy movie that boasts a cast of the best homegrown talent in its lead roles.

Yes, you heard that right! Sex Education's Aimee Lou Wood, Bridgerton's Nicola Coughlan, and Shrill's Lolly Adefope have all come together for the new medieval-themed film, which will certainly elicit plenty of deep belly laughs.

Directed by Curtis Vowell, the female-led movie is based on the conquest of Queen Dagan (Aimee), who navigates a series of hardships as she attempts to reclaim her kingdom from the charismatic Humble Joan (Nicola). But can she confront her darkest secrets to become Queen again after becoming a "fugitive in her own land" with a "hefty bounty on her head"?

Ooo, for us, it sounds like the perfect viewing for a much-needed girls' night! But if you're not entirely convinced, the official synopsis for the film reads: "A female-led comedy set in Britain during the Dark Ages, Seize Them! sees Queen Dagan (Aimee Lou Wood) as master of all she surveys, with an ego to match—until she's toppled by a revolution led by the charismatic Humble Joan (Nicola Coughlan).

"The Queen becomes a fugitive in her own land, a hefty bounty on her head. With the help of Shulmay (Lolly Adefope), a former servant with a lot of secrets—and Bobik (Nick Frost), a shit-shoveler who wants more out of life—Queen Dagan must face every conceivable hardship and danger as she embarks on a voyage to win back her throne. She also has to face up to the very worst parts of herself."

Alongside Aimee, Nicola and Lolly, Seize Them! also stars Hot Fuzz star Nick Frost and Years and Years actress Jessica Hynes.

While the cast has yet to speak about the film, Producer Damian Jones gushed in a statement before filming commenced: “We are very excited to be working with the funniest young actresses around today in Aimee, Lolly and Nicola, as well as the epic Nick Frost and Jess Hynes.”
