Kate Middleton's Favourite Brand: Best Dresses From The Vampire's Wife

Kate Middleton rarely puts a foot wrong when it comes to matters of the wardrobe, but there's something particularly special about her looks on official royal tours. 

Always considered, they showcase her – and her stylist's – ability to push her aesthetic boundaries and tap into the hottest brands right now whilst ensuring they remain culturally relevant. And her looks so far on the couple's eight-day tour of the Caribbean to kickstart the Queen’s Jubilee celebration have been no different.

Switching out of her blue and red Tory Burch dress in the colours of the Belize flag, the Duchess of Cambridge slipped into something altogether more show-stopping.

A shimmering hot pink number by The Vampire's Wife, it featured a full-length skirt, flowing capped sleeves and a ribboned waist in the same fabric.

Fast becoming one of her go-to evening wear labels, this wasn't the first time Kate Middleton has championed the brand. 

For a visit to the Guinness Factory almost exactly two years ago, Kate tactfully opted for the green 'Falconetti' dress by the same label.

Not The Vampire's Wife's only royal fan, Princess Beatrice has previously worn its 'Veneration' tiered dress in another royal seal of approval.

So what's the story behind the Duchess of Cambridge's new go-to label?

The British-born fashion brand is the brainchild of Susie Cave, the model and wife of Nick Cave, the frontman of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds. 

Launched in 2014, the label has developed an A-list following, with fans including cool girl Brits like Alexa Chung, Sienna Miller and Keira Knightley, to headline Hollywood stars like Dakota Johnson, Jennifer Aniston and Cate Blanchett wearing the designs on the red carpet.

With modest cuts, opulent fabrics and vintage touches, the dresses are a masterclass in understated sexiness, something that's earned the ankle-skimming dresses rave reviews from celebrities and fashion editors alike.

At the royal wedding of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, the under-the-radar label went stratospheric when three guests appeared in the elegant silhouettes.

“I don't know what it is,' Florence Welch told VOGUE, 'but they make you look like you're practising witchcraft in a very romantic cult, which is how I want to look all the time.”
